If you are reading this it may be because you and/or your partner are currently experiencing difficulties and problems in your relationship.
Couples Counselling
- You and your partner may be experiencing difficulties in a current relationship
- You may be considering leaving a relationship
- Your partner may be talking about leaving you or have recently done so
- You may want support with understanding a recent or past relationship
These may be of quite recent origin or have been there over a longer period of time.
You and/or your partner may be thinking about or have decided that you want some professional help and support with your relationship.
You may want your relationship to continue or one or both of you may be considering separation.
Whatever the issues are I work with both individuals at the level of the unique feelings and concerns that each person brings to the counselling session.
Couples or relationship counselling is the modern day term for what used to be called marriage guidance.
It is a term that reflects all adult intimate relationships irrespective of whether they are formalized by marriage or not.
In the past many people felt that there was something wrong with them if they admitted that their relationship was experiencing difficulties but fortunately this is beginning to change.
My role is to counsel you both in the exploration of what you want your relationship to be without judging the outcome.
I work integratively which means I bring together a number of differing but complementary counselling styles which I find to be the most effective way to respond to your individual needs and those of your relationship.
